The story

One list, 48 summits, a home on wheels

It started with a simple idea: stand on the highest point of every state. Some are glaciated volcanoes like Rainier and Hood. Some are a short walk through the woods to a sign, like Timms Hill and Mt. Arvon. Every one of them came with a story.

Around August 2026 I tagged the last of the 48 lower state high points. Mauna Kea is still on the list, and Denali is the big one, planned for 2027.

My Grand Design Imagine is my full time home. It has carried me from boondocking pullouts in Montana to forest camps below Mt. Shasta.

In winter 2025 to 2026 I workcamped at Standing Pines RV Resort in Hartsville, South Carolina, which put Congaree National Park, Mt. Mitchell and Sassafras Mountain within easy reach.
